An Institutional visit was organised by the Department of Pediatric Dentistry, KCDS, Bangalore on 21-11-2019. The fifth grade students of VIBGYOR school, Singanayakanahalli, Bangalore North, represented by their teacher Mrs Neerja, had an opportunity to interact with Sri K Syama Raju Sir, Secretary Sri KET.
The students visited the department for a health talk followed by a tour of the department. Children had a first hand experience of the dentist and the dental clinic set up.
An insight video on the importance of oral hygiene, trauma and its management followed by demonstration of brushing and flossing was beneficial to the children as an aid to reinforce the dental visit once in six months.
Dr Priya Nagar, Professor & Head, Department of Pedodontics and her team of faculty Dr Reshma, Dr Pallavi, Dr Madhusudhan and Dr Pushpaveni along with the post graduate students ensured the children had a fun filled learning experience about their oral health.
