National Tooth Brushing Day

Its #nationaltoothbrushingday today and we spent it by teaching children of Grades 2 to 5 the do’s and don’ts of toothbrushing.
1st year postgraduate student Dr @anagha_reji from the Dept of Public Health Dentistry engaged the children with a fun and interesting hands on session where they learnt all about toothbrushing.
A proper brushing technique is the first step to maintaining healthy teeth and gums and even though a lot of people brush every day, they simply don’t know how to do it the right way.
By the way, totally random fact about toothbrushing : Brushing your teeth two times a day for two minutes each time can burn more than 3000 calories a year – that means you could lose close to one kilo per year just by brushing your teeth!
Healthy in more ways than we thought, no ?
