Be Proud of Your Mouth, the slogan of World Oral Health day, was the feature of its celebration in KCDS. It was celebrated with a host of programs and activities conducted by the Dept of Periodontology and Department of Public Health Dentistry.
The Department of Periodontology hosted a CDE program in association with IDA – Oral B for faculty and students on the topic Modern Day Oral Hygiene Aids. Dr MLV Prabhuji Prof and Head , Dept of Periodontology introduced the concept of observing World Oral Health Day on 20th March to the gathering.
Dr Greeshma, Senior Lecturer, Department of Periodontology gave a much appreciated presentation on Modern Oral Health Practices that was insightful, informative and interesting.
In addition to the above, the undergraduate students came up with creative posters highlighting various aspects of oral health for the benefit of patients while interns educated them about the importance of caring for their oral health.
The Sparkle & Smile campaign that showcased smiles from all across KCDS was a big hit. While all smiles are meant to be celebrated, we can’t help but scrutinize smiles. It’s a part of the job, and so our judges Dr Ponnanna, Dr Vinay Reddy and Dr Priya picked three of the sparkliest smiles of KCDS.
