The Implantology course conducted in association with Nobel Biocare took off to a great start on 6th Sept 2021.

Dr Girish Rao, a well renowned Oral & Maxillofacial surgeon was the resource person for the first of the three modules of the course.

The postgraduate students of Department of Oral Surgery, Prosthodontics and Periodontics were introduced to Implantology and its future in dentistry. The first module of the course covered topics like basics of anatomy and physiology related to implant placements, radiographic aids and radiographic interpretation, Operatory and armamentarium followed by a live surgery demonstration for the surgical stage of implant placement.

The entire three day session was interactive, inclusive of hands on experience covering surgical incisions, flap reflection techniques and implant placement on Mandibular models.
