Christmas Celebration and Outreach Program

Christmas is not just a festival, it is a feeling

The carols, the gifts, fairy lights, the decorated tree and of course good old Santa Claus. The first official event for the interns Batch 15D, they dove into the decorations, fund collection, food, carols and the dance drama. The theme for this year ‘Winter Wonderland’ was beautifully articulated in blue and white mesmerizing everyone. From a tree and a snowman to a crib, the decor had it all. The sounds of Christmas carols resonated through the halls of KCDS, setting the Christmas vibe followed by a wonderful dance drama performed by students which showcased the journey of Jesus Christ. A few rounds of games added to the fun and cheer, finally, concluding with the arrival of Santa with his treats and a flash mob performed by the interns. The day ended with a snack distribution at Hiteishi Mahila Mane Angala Trust And Day Care.

Due to the generosity of our staff and students, our students accompanied by Dr. Pauline visited Ashley Old Age Home on the next day as part of an outreach program. Apart from distributing useful personal kits, groceries and curtains, the team sang carols for them with Santa right beside to make this festive season merrier for the residents. It was a wholesome, beautiful Christmas celebration for all of us at KCDS.

We wish you all a joyful Christmas and festive season.
